Heads up Albuquerque friends! I’m scaling down my collection of books and records (a LONG neglected task) and decided to make it into a fundraiser for United Voices for Newcomer Rights (UVNR), an awesome nonprofit that helps refugees and immigrants (newcomers) to New Mexico. I serve on UVNR’s Board of Directors and had the idea to turn my downsizing into cash to support UVNR’s fantastic work. So for the next two weekends I’ll be doing a few sales; here are the deets:
- Vintage Yard Sale Fundraiser, Saturday December 14, 9am – 2pm, at 617 17th St. NW in Albuquerque. I’ll have vintage clothes and home decor at this one.
- Fundraiser at Headphone Dance Party, Sunday December 15, 2pm – 4pm at Mirador del Rio (the Rio Grande overlook just south of Central). Come ready to dance! Here’s the Facebook event. Thanks so much to the raddest DJ Brandon Kennedy for letting me piggyback onto the HDP event!
- Table at halflife digital Holiday Market, Friday December 20, 4pm – 9pm at halflife digital, 3215 Central Ave NE. This will be a holiday hoedown with bands and general revelry in halflife’s beautiful new production space.
There will be cheap deals and volume discounts galore! All monies donated to UVNR.

UVNR cultivates educational, economic, cultural, social, and physical and mental health resources for newcomers to the US.
